    GOOD AND BETTER

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.  Psalm 118:8
It is better to listen to the rebuke of a wise man than for one to listen to the song of fools.
Ecclesiastes 7:5,6
It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast
in to the eternal fire.
Mathew 18:8,9
It is better that you should not vow than you should vow and not pay.
Ecclesiastes 5:5
Wisdom is more precious than rubies. Proverbs 8:11
A good name is better than a good ointment. Ecclesiastes 7:1
It is better to live in a desert land than with a contentious and vexing woman. Proverbs 21:19
Better is a dish of vegetables where love is than a fattened ox served with hatred. Proverbs
15:17

The Church as a Family Is…

A deeply rooted tree with branches of different strengths all receiving nourishment from
the same Infinite Source. An environment where character is formed, values are learned,
ethics are created, and society is preserved. A place where all members contribute a share,
cooperate and work, and accept their responsibilities and roles toward the good of the whole
group. A safe haven in joy, kindness and courtesy and encouragement in daily living. A
sanctuary, a place to run, a place to enjoy, a place to feel
secure, a harbor of love.

    Give thanks to God for:

A thankful heart doubles our blessings causing
us to enjoy them twice—when we receive them and when we
remember them. “Offer to God  a sacrifice of thanksgiving.”
